This book as well as The Notebook of Elbert Hubbard, are my 2 favorite books in my entire library. They contain the inspired and inspiring selections of Elbert, gathered during a lifetime of discriminating reading for his own use. They contain mottoes, epigrams, short essays, passages, and orphic sayings. They are coined from a life of love, laughter and work by a man who achieved greatly in literature, art, philosophy, business, and life. I highly recommend it to anyone who is fascinated with the human spirit

I was given this book from my mother. My mother got the book from one of my fathers great aunts. It was published in 1923. I have yet to read the entire book after 5 years of owning it. The reason is you have to read certain passages and think of what they really meant.
I actually use this book to relax, when ever times are hard, and i need a change of pace. There are writings from every great person that wrote or spoke up until the time Mr. Hubbard died. This is a very inspirational reading. I recommend this book to everyone

A complete 14 volume set, without guide book. Excellent condition with all of the dust jackets. All of the books are leather bound with embossed work. The title page indicates the following, “Little Journeys to the Homes of the Great, Elbert Hubbard, Memorial Edition, Printed and made into a book by the Roycrofters Who are in East Aurora, Erie County, New York, Wm. M. Wise & Co., New York Copyright 1928 by The Roycrofters.” In each of the 14 volumes there is a different photogravure facing the title page. Includes:
