Tables, Sideboards, Servers and China Cabinets
54" Diameter Split Base Dining Table, Opens to 10' with 6 leaves.
If you are in need of a large table for a large family here it is. This is a signed table made by the Rishel Furniture Co. of Williamsport, PA around 1910. The top is solid quartersawn oak, no veneer.
The table is 54" in diameter and it comes with the original 6 - 11" wide leaves for a total length of 10' with all the leaves installed. The original leaf holder is also included.
This is a split base table. As the photos show the top can be opened to take 3 leaves without opening the base. For more leaves the base splits in the center. Everything works just as it should.
Included are six chairs, 5 side and 1 arm. The seats have been stripped and rebuilt with all new material. The chairs are 39" tall, 17" wide and about 18" deep.

This is a most impressive mission style dining room set consisting of a 48" diameter table, 5 great chairs with 4 vertical slats, a 54" wide sideboard and a 43" wide china cabinet. I recently picked this up at a country auction where the auctioneer informed me that it came from a local estate near Scranton, PA where it's been for over 40 years. I don't have any information on it prior to that.
The table is marked Crandall-Bennett-Porter Co., Montoursville, PA. According to our research this company was founded in 1906 and went out of business in 1919. They only built tables, and this one have a veneered top, but boy, what a top.
The chairs are marked Buffalo Chair Works. They have an exceptional reputation as making very good chairs. The seats had 3 layers of fabric over the original straw and cotton fill. I've stripped them down to the bare wood frames and have rebuilt them with all new materials ready for new fabric.
The sideboard and china cabinet are unsigned. The sideboard is missing its original back as can be seen in the photo. I will be adding a simple back splash but am willing to make a plate rail or mirror if you would prefer. Either can be added for $300 above the winning offer.
There are no leaves with this table at present. Leaves can to match be made at a cost of $125 per leaf. The table will accept up to 4 12" wide leaves.
Every piece is super tight and don't appear to have ever been repaired.

48" Dining Table
This table has a solid top quartersawn white oak (no veneer anywhere) and stands 29" high. The legs are fitted to accept wheels which would add 1-1/2" to its height. The finish appears to be original except for one small spot on the top that hs been touched up probably to repair a burn or gouge. The base is quartersawn oak also as is most of the material in the chairs.
The previous owner acquired the table and chairs as a wedding gift 20 years ago. The buyer at that time was told it was a Stickley but we've been unable to find any marks or even a tack to denote where a label may have been attached.   The seats are 15" deep (with a slight curve) by 15" wide at the center (front to back). Seat height is 19". The back legs are 37" tall, 15" across the outside of the back legs and 17" across the outside of the front legs.
Based on the style of the chairs I believe it is either Northern Furniture Co., or Michigan Chair Co.
The six chairs probably are original to the table since the finishes are identical in color, patina and material (i.e., shellac).

Table is $1,450.00 with two existing leaves and table pads. Two additional leaves can be made at an additional cost of $250.00

The table extends an additional 34" to accept 4 - 8" wide leaves but I only have 2, so as it is it will open to a total length of 64". Two additional leaves can be made at an additional cost of $125.00 each.

The table slides are equipped with an "equalizer". This is a gear system that assures that the top opens equally in each direction so that when opened the top stays centered on the base.

China Cabinets

Lifetime China Cabinet # 610-1/2
Inventory No: A866   $1,795.00

This is a very nice china cabinet by the Grand Rapids Bookcase and Chair Company of Grand Rapids, MI. It is 46" wide, 16" deep and 60" tall, the backsplash adds 2". There are three fixed position shelves, all with plate groves. The caning in the lower portion of the doors is backed by a solid panel. There is a solid panel on the sides adjacent to the caned portion of the doors. With three shelves for display and a closed in area on the bottom for those things you don't want to display

The doors are perfectly proportioned at 21" wide by 42" high. The left side door has a latch at the top on the inside to hold it closed. The right side door has a lock, the lock works and I have the original key.

There is some minor damage to the caning but it is barely noticeable. In fact it hardly shows in the close ups of that portion of the doors. Each door has 2 or 3 places where there are dime size areas where the caning in broken.

This is the lable on the back panel, but no maker lable.

These prices include seats covered in twill or your fabric. Seats can be covered in leather at additional cost.
